Why did we name our podcast Vineyard Underground, you may ask.
Well, have you tried sorting out a vineyard problem?
You probably searched for answers in a textbook or some online resource. But what you see online or in textbooks doesn’t always apply to your exact situation because there is a lot of variability from one vineyard to the next.
You’ve got to figure out how to get to that perfect picture of what a vine should look like – but the routes can be numerous.
And that’s what the Vineyard Underground podcast is here for.
As stewards of the vine, we’re constantly making observations in our vineyards. That’s the best way to get your immediate input on what’s going to help you in your vineyard. That way, you’re able to observe and take action in your vineyard – faster.
We’re also looking at vineyards in our surrounding regions. Oftentimes, we travel outside of our regions, far and wide, to gain a better understanding of why growers make the decisions they make, their greatest struggles, and which ones we think are universal. We also look into how they have overcome these issues.
